GPL: Asante Kotoko announce pre-season training in Dubai
Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed a pre-season tour in the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai ahead of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors are expected to leave Ghana on Thursday, October 7.
They plan to camp in the Arab country for two weeks.
The training tour will be streamed live on Kotoko’s digital platform, CEEK.
Kotoko opened their pre-season camp at the Adako Jachie training grounds in Kumasi two weeks ago under new head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, who replaced Mariano Barreto on a two-year deal.
The 23-time GPL winners have already signed nine new players to strengthen the team as it prepares for the league season scheduled to begin on October 29, 2021.
The new faces are Augustine Agyapong, Samuel Boateng and Isaac Oppong from clubs in the Ghanaian third-tier.
Maxwell Kofi Agyemang, Sheriff Mohammed and Clinton Opoku joined Kotoko after impressive displays in the second tier last season.
Richmond Lamptey was also signed from relegated Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies.
Kotoko will begin the upcoming league season with a trip to Dawu to face Dreams FC.
