Gospel singer KODA dies from kidney complications

Renowned gospel singer, Kofi Owusu Dua Anto popularly known as KODA is reported to have died today after battling kidney disease for a while.

The news of his death went viral on Sunday afternoon with a number of gospel plyers expressing their shock and grief at the death of the gospel stalwart.

Among them were gospel musician, Empress Gifty, who posted on Facebbok, “I hope it’s not true” with crying emojis to confirm it.

Gospel musician Nii Okai, a very close friend to the deceased also confirmed KODA’s demise.

He said, ” I wish I could tell you another thing but that’s the truth. KODA is dead”. He mentioned that the news was quite shocking to him considering that the deceased had been treated of kidney disease and was doing very fine until he died today.

KODA, celebrated for his uplifting melodies and soulful compositions, not just a singer but producer left an indelible mark on the Ghanaian music scene. With hits like ‘Nsempii,’ ‘Nkwa Abodoo,’ ‘Yapai,’ and ‘Adorso’ to his credit, his music resonated deeply with audiences, inspiring hope and faith.

The family is yet to make any official statement.
