Gospel musician prophet Seth Frimpong is dead

Gospel musician, Prophet Seth Frimpong, is dead. The unfortunate incident happened on the early hours of April 24, 2020, at the Komfo Anokye  Teaching Hospital.

An official announcement of his passing was posted on his Facebook wall at 9:30 am.

The ‘Mehuri so’  hitmaker has been away from the music scene for a while because of ill-health, but bounced back in 2017 with a remix of his popular song ‘Adansidie’ which featured Bro Sammy and Emelia Brobbey.

Explaining his long disappearance from the showbiz scene, in some recent interviews, he said he had been battling diabetes. He further revealed he went blind for three days, but never mentioned it to his relatives.

“I went blind. I was in my room and wanted to visit the washroom, but all of a sudden I couldn’t see anything, It happened for three days but I didn’t tell anybody in the house. I promised myself never to let anyone know about it because I believed I would see again.”

“I always sent the kids in the house anytime I wanted to use the washroom so by the time they will return, I would be done with everything I wanted to do. I didn’t want anyone to see me in that way. I was just praying on the third day and I realised my sight was back” he said of his experience.

Prophet Seth Frimpong was known for  hit songs like ‘This is just the beginning’ ‘Nyame Anuonyam’ and many others.

 

Prophet Frimpong left behind his wife. Not much is known of the number of children he had.
