Gory accident on Buipe–Kintampo road leaves 8 injured
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported a prompt response to a road accident that took place at Alhassan Kura along the Buipe–Kintampo Highway on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
At approximately 9:44 a.m., the Buipe Fire Station received an emergency call indicating that a Sprinter bus had been involved in an accident.
Fire personnel arrived at the location by 10:00 a.m. and discovered the vehicle, bearing registration number AS-9104-12, overturned on its side.
The bus, operated by Mr. John Maccarthy, was en route from Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono East Region to the Buipe market, carrying a total of ten passengers.
By 10:20 a.m., fire officers successfully rescued eight injured passengers along with two uninjured individuals.
During the rescue operation, the team encountered a temporary disruption caused by a swarm of bees at the scene.
Nevertheless, the officers exhibited professionalism and ensured that all victims were safely rescued and subsequently transferred to the National Ambulance Service for medical care.
Authorities have stated that the cause of the accident is presently under investigation.
