The Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has apologised for the fuel shortages experienced at some of its stations across the country during the Easter holidays.

The state-owned Ghanaian oil and gas marketing company attributed the shortage to operational challenges caused by supply disruptions.

In a statement released by GOIL, the company acknowledged the inconvenience caused to its valued customers and disclosed that it had dispatched over two million litres of fuel to stations experiencing the shortages.

The company further revealed that over one million litres will be dispatched today.

“GOIL wishes to acknowledge to the public, especially its valued customers, that there have been shortages of its super XP RON 95 at some of its stations. The shortages experienced during the Easter holidays were because of operational challenges occasioned by supply disruptions,” the statement read.

According to GOIL, it has taken delivery of enough products and has taken adequate steps to dispatch over two million litres to its fuel stations experiencing the shortages.

The company added that it intends to release more stocks to the affected stations in the next two days to augment supplies.

GOIL has assured its customers that it is working tirelessly to resolve the challenges and restore normalcy at the affected stations.
