God does not live on social media, know him for yourself – Samini advises
Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Samini, has expressed concern about how some ‘Christians’ dishonestly worship God on social media.
According to him, ‘latter-day’ Christians should devote their time to know God for themselves and not show-off on social media for likes and comments.
He said encouraging people to pray with a post is not a bad thing but making it a habit of tweeting at God on social media is not true Christianity.
‘Don’t tweet at God, he does not live on social media, be true to yourself, connect to God in your closet rather than trying to write the most impressive prayer on social media for likes and comments.” He said.
Speaking to Sammy Forson on Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan Mix monitored by theghanareport.com, the Dancehall artist shared his worry on how people often-time take to social media to boast about how they worship God, displaying the holier than thou attitude when really, they do not have any personal relationship with him.
” It is just like how some celebrities take cameras around to their charity events, that is not right. If you are helping lives, do it for the good of it, if the cameras capture you, fine but don’t go around with cameras showing off.” He said.
