The bursar of Ghanata Senior High School (SHS), Lamisi Sarah, has been arrested for allegedly diverting food supplies meant for students.

The arrest was confirmed by the Member of Parliament for Shai-Osudoku and Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo.

She described the alleged act as deeply troubling, calling it a serious breach of trust and public responsibility, especially since the supplies are vital to ensuring students are properly fed.

Upon receiving the complaints, the Minister alerted the constituency’s National Security apparatus to conduct a discreet investigation.

She explained that while she was in the constituency on Tuesday, February 17, the alleged diversion was confirmed, leading to the apprehension of Lamisi Sarah.

“I directed the officers to hand her over to the Police so that due process can take its full course under the law,” Minister Ocloo added, noting that investigations into the matter are expected to continue.

The Minister emphasised that such incidents undermine public confidence in state institutions and directly affect the well-being of students.

She stressed that accountability would be upheld and that anyone found culpable would face the full rigours of the law.

Reaffirming her commitment to protecting student welfare and safeguarding the integrity of public institutions in the region, she vowed to ensure that such breaches of trust are dealt with decisively.
