Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil reacts to MLS debut for LA Galaxy

Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has shared his excitement following his Major League Soccer debut for LA Galaxy on Monday.

The Black Stars winger played his first game in the MLS when LA Galaxy locked horns with Inter Miami at the Dignity Health Sports Park.

LA Galaxy opened the scoring in the 75th minute through Dejan Joveljic but record Ballon d’Or holder Lionel Messi scored in injury time to rescue his side from defeat.

Paintsil, who was playing his first game in the MLS delivered an outstanding performance for his side. He won a penalty at the 13th-minute mark, unfortunately, Riqui Puig missed it.

“Massive love & appreciation to the fans for the support on my MLS debut. Looking forward to more of this” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Painstil joined the MLS giants in February from Belgium outfit KRC Genk on a four-year deal as a Designated Player.
