Coronavirus hits 5,918: As recoveries soar, infections jump again with 183 more cases
Ghana’s COVID-19 total case count has increased to 5,918 from an initial 5,735, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed.
According to information provided on the GHS COVID-19 website, two more people have died from the disease, bringing the total number of COVID-19 fatalities to 31.
So far, 1,754 people have also recovered from the virus in Ghana. Five persons, according to the Ghana Health Service, are in critical condition.
Ghana’s coronavirus caseload hits 5,735 with 97 new infections on Saturday
Last Saturday, Ghana recorded 97 more cases. Some 72 hours later, 183 more cases have been confirmed.
Per the GHS data, males account for 62% of the COVID-19 infections with the remaining 38% being females.
Three out of 16 regions have not recorded any coronavirus case. These are the Savannah, Bono East and Ahafo Regions.
The Greater Accra Region tops the chart of regions with COVID-19 infections with a total of 4,422 cases.
