The Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Ministry, Nicholas Duncan-Williams is frustrated about how small minded and petty Ghanaians can be towards irrelevant things.
According to him, the spirit of pettiness and envy among Ghanaians is a contributing factor to deteriorating growth of the country.
“We are small minded people, we have issues with everything, we have to begin to appreciate and accept and celebrate our own, if one of us owns a private jet and he hasn’t broken the law to earn it, leave him alone, if he has broken the law then deal with him” he said in an interview on Good Evening Ghana on Tuesday.
The culture of attacking, being critical of people according to him, has to stop.
“This culture of attacking, being critical…if a young lady is successful its either she is doing drugs or sleeping with a married man, if a young man comes on the scene and for some reason is not born by one of the old money people and he’s new then we have to investigate him and I am talking about things done to me as a pastor, I was under investigation for two years, they were accusing me of being an agent…they called me all sorts of names because they misunderstood my message at that time, they did everything to break and silence me….they seized my passport, my car, they followed me everywhere I went” he noted
The spiritual leader is convinced there is an evil spirit compelling such acts of envy and pettiness among the Ghanaian populace.
“ Assassination attempt was made on me but I escaped supernaturally and so as a spiritual man when I am telling you there is a spirit in this country and amongst Africans that makes us want to destroy our owe and it needs to be confronted and we have to be deliberate about it, we need to uncover and expose it because it won’t allow us to accomplish anything” he noted.
