Issahaku has enjoyed an incredible year, having captained Ghana’s U17 side to clinch the WAFU B U17 Cup of Nations in January.
Following his outstanding performance in that tournament, the youngster earned a call-up to the U-20 team that won the AFCON tournament in Mauritania.
He received his first call-up to the senior national team, Black Stars, when the side played against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe in the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March.
Issahaku has also been named in a 30-man squad for Black Stars’ upcoming friendly fixtures against Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire next month, where he will look to make his debut for the side.
