Ghanaian striker Brian Brobbey re-joins Ajax after short RB Leipzig stay

Dutch-forward of Ghanaian descent, Brian Brobbey has rejoined boyhood club Ajax Amsterdam.

The talented striker 2021 agreed to a deal to sign for German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

However, after his inability to break into the first team of the side, Brian Brobbey was signed by Ajax to bolster the squad of the team in the second round of last season.

Impressed with the output of the former striker, Ajax has this summer reached a deal with RB Leipzig to re-sign the striker.

“Brian Brobbey has also reported to the training camp. The deal with RB Leipzig is complete, so the Amsterdammer is also in Austria to prepare for the season,” an official club statement from Ajax has said.

Following the departure of Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund, Brian Brobbey is in line to be the leading striker for Ajax next season.
