Ghanaian sensation Kamal Sowah makes a club transfer record to Belgian side Club Brugge

Ghanaian midfielder Kamal Sowah has completed a move to Belgian side Club Brugge from English Premier League club Leicester City.

According to reports, the two clubs have agreed on a permanent move for a club-record fee of €9m plus add ons.

The 21-year-old midfielder spent last season in the Belgian Jupiler League at OH Leuven where he started all 34 league matches, scoring 8 goals and making 6 assists.

It was during his time in Belgium that Sowah is said to have caught the eye of Club Brugge.

Sowah joined Leicester City from Ghanaian academy Right To Dream in 2018 after impressing officials of the club in a friendly match.

He was immediately sent on loan to OH Leuven to increase the likelihood of him becoming eligible for a work permit.

Sowah who is yet to represent Ghana at any level was heavily involved in Leicester City pre-season for the 2021/22 campaign.
