Ghanaian musicians KK Fosu, Bless involved in fatal accident
One person is dead, while Ghanaian highlife musicians K.K. Fosu and Bless of ‘Chocho Mu Cho’ fame are battling for their lives in hospital after a gory accident on Saturday, May 25.
This occurred after their Toyota Camry with registration number GW-1496-16 crashed with a Benz, killing one person on the spot along the Accra-Apam highway in the Central Region.
According to the driver of the Toyota Camry, he was supposed to take the artistes to perform at his friend’s wedding at Breman Asikuma in the Central Region.
Hence, he went to pick up K.K Fosu from Tema and met musician Bless at Lapaz. Bless came with his friend, whom the driver identified as Tom Cruise.
Tom Cruise was supposed to film Bless when performing at the wedding ceremony.
The driver explained that 20 minutes before getting to Apam, the Benz, which was travelling from the opposite direction, veered off its lane in an attempt to overtake a Toyota Hilux, which was ahead of it but ended in a head-on collision.
The driver said he felt unconscious for a while but recovered not long after the incident and realized that Bless’ friend Tom Cruise was not around.
Upon request, he was told they had been rushed to the Apam Hospital, where they received treatment.
The driver narrated that he rushed to the ward to check on the others (K.K. Fosu, Bless, and Tom Cruise) but was told that Tom Cruise had passed on and both musicians had their legs broken.
“K.K. Fosu is responding to treatment, as he can open his eyes and respond to conversations, but Bless seems to be in a coma and has not spoken after the incident,” he said.
The driver disclosed that the deceased had been taken to the morgue for preservation whilst the musicians had been referred to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
According to eyewitnesses, his branded Mercedes Benz collided with another vehicle.
A video from the scene shows some bystanders carrying the actor from his damaged car to another vehicle.
The other vehicle’s occupant claims the actor veered off his lane into hers while driving at top speed.
Lil Win is currently on admission at the hospital, receiving treatment for his injuries.
Lil Win was preparing to premiere his new movie, A Country Called Ghana, in Kumasi on Saturday night, following its first premiere in Accra.
He has been actively promoting the movie over the past few weeks.
