The Ghana School of Law is set to build a permanent campus in Kumasi, thanks to the donation of 1.1 acres of land by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

This new site is strategically located near the Kumasi court complex, aligning with the school’s policy of placing campuses close to judicial centres for practical training.

Previously a tenant at KNUST, the school will now have its own dedicated campus.

Justice Nana Barima Yaw Kodie Oppong, Director of the Ghana School of Law, expressed gratitude to Otumfuo for the generous donation.

He highlighted how the location will benefit students by providing a close connection to the court system.

This development is a significant milestone, marking the school’s growth and its commitment to offering quality legal education across Ghana.

Justice Oppong also mentioned plans to show appreciation to the Asantehene at the right time.

The induction ceremony for 222 new law students for the 2024/2025 academic year was also held. During the ceremony, students were urged to uphold ethical standards in their legal studies and future practice by both faculty and the Ashanti Region Bar Association.

The students were reminded of the importance of ethics and professional conduct in their legal journey.
