Ghana records over 3,000 COVID-19 recoveries, total cases hit 8,548
Ghana’s coronavirus recoveries have increased to 3,132. This was contained in the Ghana Health Service (GHS) latest update on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
The latest figure represents an increase of 146 fresh recoveries.
Per the statistics, some new COVID-19 infections were also detected.
251 fresh infections have pushed Ghana’s coronavirus case count to 8,548 with the death toll still at 38.
According to the Ghana Health Service, 15 persons are in critical condition. One person is on a ventilator.
So far, 15 out of 16 regions have reported confirmed cases of coronavirus with the Greater Accra Region topping the list.
The region has recorded 5,894 COVID-19 infections. The Ashanti Region comes second with 1,342 cases, followed by the Western Region with 449 infections.
