Ghana Premier League is getting more interesting – Otto Addo

Black Stars Head Coach, Otto Addo, has asserted that the Ghana Premier League has improved compared to two seasons ago.

The former Borussia Dortmund talent coach made these remarks after watching the match-week two game between Legon Cities and Medeama, which ended in a 1-0 win for the Mauve and Yellows at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking to the press after the game, Addo said the new season is becoming more interesting but will need more time to reach full competitiveness.

“This is my first season [observing the league closely]. At the end of the last season, I watched a little bit of videos; it was okay in general,” he said.

“I think it’s picking up, it’s getting more interesting, and we have to see. I think it’s early; it’s now early [to make an assessment].

“Let’s watch the season and see how the players perform. I think the performance, in general, is going up. When I compare it to two years ago, it has improved.”

Addo also mentioned that he plans to attend more Ghana Premier League games this season to scout home-based players.
