The Ghana Police Service says it has begun investigations into the alleged misconduct of one of its officers at the West Hills Mall that led to the death of a young man.
In a viral video, Ms Perpetual Didier alleged that the action of a police officer had caused the death of her 32-year-old brother, Shadrach Arloo.
A statement signed by the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Victor K Dosoo, and issued on January 31, 2023, said the Ghana Police Service had taken note of the viral video and investigation into the matter had commenced.
“The attention of the Police Service has been drawn to a viral video in which a female who identifies herself as Perpetual Didier alleges that the action of a Police Officer has caused the death of her brother.
“The Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) has commenced investigation into the allegation and has contacted Madam Perpetual Didier to assist the investigation,” Assistant Superintendent of Police Victor K Dosoo assured.
