Ghana Embassy in Doha urges nationals to take shelter after missile attack

The Embassy of Ghana in Doha has released a security advisory, urging all Ghanaians residing in Qatar to seek shelter immediately until further notice, in light of increased tensions in the region.

In an official statement issued on February 28, 2026, the Embassy referenced a missile attack and its repercussions in Doha as the reason for the alert, advising citizens to depend solely on official sources for updates.

“Due to missile attack and its impact in Doha, please take shelter until further notice, obtain information from official sources,” the notice stated.

The Embassy additionally urged Ghanaians to avoid military sites, stay indoors, steer clear of crowded areas, and minimise exposure to potential threats.

Citizens were also encouraged to keep essential supplies, including medication and food, readily available.
