Ghana drops in Coca-Cola FIFA ranking

Ghana has dropped in positions in the latest Coca-Cola FIFA rankings released on Thursday for the month of September.

The Black Stars dropped from the 50th position to 51st following the national team’s inactivity during the international break.

Arrangement for the Black Stars to play African champions Algeria was not concluded leading the lack of international football for Ghana.

The current changes has seen the Black Stars also dropped to seventh on the continent.

Senegal leads the ranking in Africa and are 20th in the world, followed by Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco and Egypt in that order.

The Black Stars are ahead of Cameroon, DR Congo and the Ivory Coast.
