GFA provides update on Sampson Agyepong after going unconscious in Morocco game
The National Under-20 team, the Black Satellites midfielder Sampson Agyepong is said to be stable and doing well after going unconscious in the team’s group game against Morocco.
The Wafa SC star receiving a heavy knock on the face from an opponent leaving him unconscious late in Ghana’s barren draw with Morocco on Friday night at the Stade Municipal du Nouadhibou.
Agyepong came on 5 minutes to the end of the game when he replaced Abdul Fatawu Issahaku but got stretched off after just 3 minutes on the pitch.
He was quickly rushed to the hospital from the stadium for further assessment.
Reports indicate the 19-year-old has rejoined his teammates at the hotel but could be given a rest in tomorrow’s recovery training session.
Ghana currently top Group C with 4 points and will lock horns with Gambia on Monday in the final group game.
