GFA dismisses rumours of German coach talks for Black Stars
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially denied rumors that President Kurt Okraku met with a German coach to discuss a potential appointment for the Black Stars.
According to a press release issued on November 5, these reports are completely false.
“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken note of false reports being circulated that the Association has met a German coach and is negotiating remuneration with him,” the statement read. “The Association wishes to state clearly that the reports are entirely false.”
It turns out that President Okraku’s recent trip to Germany was actually focused on strengthening ties with Puma, the Black Stars’ official kit sponsor.
The meeting focused on “matters of mutual interest” to reinforce their partnership, as previously reported by the GFA on its official platforms.
The GFA has urged the media and the public to disregard these rumors and instead rely on their website and verified social media channels for credible information and updates.
This move highlights the association’s commitment to transparency and managing expectations surrounding the national team’s coaching prospects.
