GFA confirms change in time for Kotoko v Hearts super clash
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a kick-off time change for the Premier League super clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
The game was originally scheduled to kick off at 18:00GMT on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium but has been pushed to 15:00GMT.
Reports suggest that the decision by the country’s FA was due to advice from the Ghana Police Service ahead of the game.
Home team Kotoko are going into the match with a 13 point lead over rivals Hearts of Oak who have 36 points compared to Kotoko’s 49.
The first leg of the super clash ended in a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in February.
Below is a statement from the GFA on the new development:
The Ghana Premier League Matchday 24 game between Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC vs Accra Hearts of Oak SC is now scheduled to kick off at 3 pm on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The kick-off time for the match has been changed due to advice from the Ghana Police Service.
The Match Coordination meeting will be held at 10 am on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
All Stakeholders are to take note of the change in time accordingly.
