GFA applauds Jordan Ayew over EPL record
The Ghana Football Association has congratulated Crystal Palace and Black Stars forward, Jordan Ayew, for his latest achievement as the highest-scoring Ghanaian in the history of the English Premier League.
Ayew netted his 9th goal of the season as his side beat Bournemouth 2-0 away over the weekend.
The goal takes his overall tally to 25 in the English top-flight. making him the all-time Ghanaian top scorer in the Premier League him one ahead of former Leeds striker Tony Yeboah.
Jordan Ayew, who is the youngest son of legendary Ghanaian footballer, Abedi Ayew, reached the 25 goal mark in 129 matches, while Yeboah made his 24 goals in 47 appearances.
Following this impressive feat, the official Twitter page GFA had a post praising the 28-year-old for making Ghanaians proud.

Jordan’s goal handed Palace the maximum points in the 23rd minute after guiding Patrick van Aanholt’s low cross beyond goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Jordan Ayew will hope to continue his fine form when the Eagles travel to play League leaders Liverpool at Anfield in their next game on Wednesday.
