The Ghana Education Service (GES) has finally opened its recruitment portal for graduates with a Degree or Diploma certificate in Education.
The service in a Facebook post on May 17, 2024, announced that the “portal is active now”, therefore prospective applicants can proceed with their applications.
The educational body seized the opportunity to apologize for the delay, in opening the portal.
“We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding in this waiting period,” the brief message shared on Facebook added.
In an earlier press statement, GES emphasized that the recruitment targets only trained teachers who graduated with a first degree.
“The Ghana Education Service is requesting applications from qualified, trained teachers who graduated with a first degree from only public colleges of education to be considered for employment,” the service said.
The GES further clarified that an applicant must have no outstanding examinations or referrals, complete the mandatory national service, pass the National Teacher Licensure Examination, and be ready to work wherever his/her services would be needed to meet the requirements for consideration.
Qualified applicants have been requested to apply for recruitment on the Ghana Education Service promotions online portal.
The deadline for the application is June 17, 2024.
Meanwhile, several netzines who chanced on the information, are appealing to the GES, to post teachers to their respective communities.
Others are also requesting for more teachers to be posted in some schools.
