GES declares March 7 holiday for all schoolchildren

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially declared Friday, March 7, 2025, as a holiday for all schoolchildren across the country.

This decision is aimed at giving students a well-deserved break following their active participation and preparations for Ghana’s 68th Independence Day celebrations.

The GES acknowledges the efforts of students in various activities leading up to the event and believes the short break will allow them to rest and rejuvenate.

In an official statement, the GES confirmed that schools will reopen on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to take note of this adjustment and plan accordingly.

This announcement underscores the GES’s commitment to student well-being while maintaining a balanced academic calendar.
