The Greater Accra Regional Hospital has announced it will soon organise a mass burial for some 70 unclaimed bodies.
A statement from the hospital said the bodies had been left in its mortuary for over nine months. Some go as far back as December 2019.
Family members of the deceased persons are being informed to contact the hospital mortuary officials to claim the bodies of their relatives for burial with immediate effect.
Management of the hospital said its environmental unit and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly would arrange a mass burial if they remain unclaimed three weeks after the notice.
The deceased persons include 26 females and 44 males.
Names have been attached to the notice for easy identification.
