The Ghana Armed Forces has announced the successful evacuation of three Ghanaian traders who sustained injuries during a terrorist attack in Burkina Faso, as stated by the military’s Department of Public Relations.
The incident took place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, when the traders were attacked while conducting business in the neighbouring country.
The evacuation operation, which is part of the government’s coordinated humanitarian and security response aimed at safeguarding Ghanaian nationals abroad, was executed on Tuesday, February 17, by the Ghana Air Force.
After the operation, the injured traders were brought back to Ghana and have since been admitted to the 37 Military Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.
The Armed Forces also conveyed their sympathy to the families affected by the attack, extending condolences to those who lost loved ones and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
