Frederick Asare is happy and remains Asante Kotoko player – Kwesi Appiah
Head of Sporting Affairs of Asante Kotoko, Kwesi Appiah has insisted that Frederick Asare is happy is remains a player of the club.
The Black Stars goalkeeper has lost his playing position to Mohammed Camara in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
It has been reported that Asare is unhappy is has demanded to leave the club.
However, Kwesi Appiah speaking in an interview said he is unaware that Asare has demanded to leave the club.
According to him, the promising shot-stopper is happy and remains their player.
“I’m startled that you’ve heard that Frederick Asare wants to leave,” he told Akoma FM.
“His contract with Asante Kotoko expires in July or August, and management is unaware that he is unhappy and intends to quit.
“He enjoys his time here and plans to stay with Kotoko,” he added.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will face Acceler8z FC in the Round of 32 games of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
