Fred Nuamah suspects foul play in difficulty in filing nomination form
Fred Nuamah, one of the contestants for the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat has lamented his inability to complete his online nomination form due to some issues beyond his control which he suspects is foul play.
The actor now a politician says for about three days he has been unable to complete the filing process electronically as well as make payments for the filing fees as the party requests.
Fred in a press release on March 22, 2023, said he has gone through the right processes required for one to contest as a parliamentary candidate but all efforts have proven futile as he is unable to complete his form electronically.
Parts of his statement read, ” For the past 72 hours, I have not been able to complete the filing of my nomination electronically as well as make payment for the filing fee”.
“All efforts have proven futile after my engagement with the relevant personnel behind the party’s electronic platform”.
The current Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon is Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Fred on the NDC ticket is contesting the primaries with John Dumelo who happens to be his very best friend.
The two who have come across to many as great pals for the past weeks have been in the news after Mr. Nuamah announced his intentions to contest the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat.
He was accused of stealing Mr. Dumelo’s spot amidst calls for him to step down.
Mr. Nuamah has, however, stated he is willing to engage his friend, Mr. Dumelo but will not in any way step down for him in the race.
Fred has stated emphatically that he won’t allow politics to bring division between him and his friend Dumelo.
