Founders day: Today is a sad day for Ghana – B.K Nsenkyire
A member of the Council of Elders of the Convention Peoples Party, B. K Nsenkyire has described today, a commemorative day to honor Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as a sad day for the country.
According to him, the inability of successive governments to build on the several infrastructural projects embarked upon by the late Kwame Nkrumah suggests the country is on the wrong path.
“Kwame Nkrumah is one of a kind, I worked as a Corporative Minister under his administration and I can say there will be none like him…Nkrumah had state farms all over the country especially oil palm plantation but now we as a country are begging other nations to plant oil palm when we left the ones we had to die off. Look at Valco, Ghana had an aluminum factory where we exported to West Indies but now, we don’t even hear of Valco,” he said.
He queried, “have you wondered where the Blackstar shipping line is? Successive governments have sold it to private individuals…look at the Ghana airways, it is now a restaurant”.
