Former member of Dunsin Squad enstooled as Development Chief in Manya Krobo
Former member and leader of the award-winning defunct hiplife group Dunsin, Ahmed Kanneh Larweh, now known as Sparqlyn, has been enstooled as a development chief by traditional leaders and elders of Krobo Odumase in the Eastern Region.
The enstoolment was done by Nene Sipim Osomtse Narh II, the Sipim of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area, together with some other leaders.
The royal title bestowed on him was Nene Kanneh Larweh I, with the chieftaincy title Noryam Mantse, which connotes Chief of Development for Konor-Odjam Weku in the Manye Krobo Traditional Area.

The enstoolment was attended by most of his friends in the music industry, family members and other distinguished guests.

The Dunsin highlife group was made up of three musicians, namely Ernest Obeng, aka Omega, Ernest Wiafe-Koranteng, aka Sweet Lips and Ahmed Kanneh, aka Kele Yaayi.
Their joint recordings included ‘Fefeefe’, ‘Oyadieyie’, “Falaa’, and ‘Oyeadieyie’.
After working as a team for a while, they separated, and Ahmed Kanneh Larweh went solo to remain relevant in the entertainment industry.
Some of the songs he has been able to produce are ‘Your Body’ and ‘Tumpa’.
Nene Kanneh Larweh I, expressed gratitude to the people of Krobo Odumase for having hope in him and for bestowing the title of Development Chief of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area on him.
