Former Champions Germany Crashes Out Of Qatar

The Igor Pierre Littbarskis, the Rudi Voellers, the Thomas Haesslers, the Jurgen Klinsmanns, the Karl Heinz Rummenigges, the Matthias Sammers, the Lothar Matthews’ and the Oliver Kanns to mention but a few might be writhing in agony and pain over the early German exit from the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The German legends were storage of amazing comeback spirit in their time. Therefore, the 2-1 loss to Japan in Qatar could be taken for a Germany out of its rhythm.

The now and then of German soccer awaken reminiscence of the Mexico 1986 World Cup in which Germany trailed the Diego Maradona-led Argentina two goals to nil but were able to cancel that lead, before Buruchuga clinched the winner for the South Americans. There were glimpses of the past in Germany’s comeback from 2-1 down to whizz past Costa Rica to a 4-2 victory.

This was a bit more too late from Germany which succumbed 2-1 to Japan in its Qatar opening match. Incidentally, that was the defeat that pushed the German machine onto the precipice and ultimately to the ignominious fate which now has become a major fallout of Qatar 2022.

Germany could not advance to round of 16 in a group which contained Spain, Japan and Costa Rica. Emotional freeze for German fans.
