Five arrested over Mfantseman MP murder

Five persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of Mfantseman MP, Ekow Quansah Hayford, the police have announced.

The police in a short Facebook post said the suspects “are being taken through lawful police procedures”.

The 49-year-old MP was shot and killed by a gang of gunmen suspected to be armed robbers on the dawn of October 9, 2020.

The MP who was seeking re-election was returning from campaign duties with his team when the incident occurred.
