A devastating fire broke out on Wednesday, October 25, reducing an eight-bedroom house near the Charleston Hotel in Tesano to rubble.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The blaze erupted suddenly, and eyewitnesses reported that it spread rapidly throughout the large residence.
The house help, who was present at the time, heard an initial explosion, but the source was not immediately apparent.
A second, more massive explosion shortly after left no doubt about the origin of the calamity.
Thankfully, the occupants of the house managed to escape the inferno unscathed.
However, their possessions and the house itself were consumed by the relentless flames.
Firefighters responded to the distress call 30 minutes after the fire’s ignition, but by that time, a significant portion of the house had already been devoured by the blaze.
Despite their efforts, it took several hours for the firefighters to bring the inferno under control.
The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
