Fire guts wooden structures at Ritz Junction
The Ghana National Fire Service has successfully contained a fast-spreading fire involving several wooden structures at Madina Ritz Junction.
According to GNFS, the incident, which is one of many in recent months, occurred on Monday, July 15, 2025.
According to the firefighters, the fierce fire, which affected dwellings and commercial units, was reported at 1900 hours, and they quickly responded from the Madina Fire Station within 4 minutes, with reinforcement from Legon and Abelemkpe Fire Stations.

Despite accessibility challenges, several gas explosions, and a lack of hydrants, firefighters brought the blaze under control at 1950 hours and fully extinguished it at 2143 hours.
No fatalities or injuries were recorded; however, several wooden structures and contents were severely destroyed.
The firefighters, in a statement, added that the nearby properties were salvaged through swift intervention.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
