A fire broke out at the Kasoa New Market, triggering a swift emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service.
Firefighters from the Kasoa and Weija Fire stations reported to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby shops and buildings.
Due to the intensity of the fire, all available fire pumps from Accra were also deployed to support the operations.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established, and the extent of damage to property is still being assessed as firefighters continue efforts to bring the situation under control.
