Fire Engulfs Trinity Television and Church at Krofoum
A devastating fire swept through Trinity Television and a church located at Krofuom, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, leaving properties worth thousands of cedis in ruins.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has launched a preliminary investigation into the incident, which occurred on Friday morning.
According to Apostle Collins Boadi, owner of Trinity Television, the fire started around 9:10 a.m., shortly after the station had concluded its morning show.
Staff members were alerted to a fire emanating from a container behind the studio, but despite efforts to contain the blaze, the flames quickly spread, engulfing the building and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
Tragically, the fire has shattered plans for the official launch of the newly built studio, which was scheduled to take place on December 31.
Apostle Boadi expressed his devastation at the loss, stating that the fire had destroyed not only the studio but also the church.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and firefighters are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
Meanwhile, the Ghana National Fire Service is working to ascertain the origin of the fire and prevent similar incidents in the future.
