Feeling festive? Here are a few events you may want to attend
The Christmas parties have officially begun and one thing is for sure – people are still looking for activities to indulge their festive spirit.
We have shortlisted a few of the activities just to make things easier for you.
As most of you may be aware, last night saw the “white on blue jeans” party; December to Remember.
But not to worry.
If you missed that, there are still a few more to choose from.
The ever famous Afrochella
This is a packed festival. It is going to be the biggest concert in West Africa this festive season.
Why do I say so?
Well because it’s happening at a time of the YEAR OF RETURN which is bringing people from across the globe to Ghana.
How cool is that?
It starts today December 25, 2019, and the jam continues till January 2, 2020.
Join the party at the El Wak Stadium on December 28th for the big concert.
The 70’s party
As the name suggests, this is clearly for the old folks out there.
But hey, if you’re the young one who loves to jam to some great old tunes as I do, why don’t you join others at the Tang palace hotel in Accra?
The 70’s party comes off on boxing day December 26, 2019.
So where are you coming from?
The USA, Europe, Kumasi, Asia, just name it we will wait for you before we start jamming.
But please be fast. You can’t keep us waiting forever.
And oh, in any case, we can only wait for those who have already started their trip down to Ghana’s capital Accra.
Beach jams
Beaches in Ghana should be on your itinerary.
You can miss any event but certainly not the beach day out on boxing day.
There will be lots of activities on the beaches like horse riding, volleyball and just name them.
Why not hang out at the beach after the 24th night and 25th heavy meal deals?
So yeah, visit beaches like Bojo in Weija, Labadi, Laboma, and oh if you happen to be in the Volta region, why not visit the Emancipation Beach? The Central and Western region beaches will also offer some spark.
TRYBVL
One of my favourite spots in Accra is the Republic.
Whaaaaat! Hanging out here gives you some kind of extra feeling.
I don’t even know if I’m making sense but my fellow “Republicans” will understand.
Tomorrow is the day for TRYBVL and all roads must lead to the Republic in Osu at 9 pm.
Did I say it’s free entry? Of course, it is.
Detty Rave 3
I just couldn’t wait to mention Detty Rave 3.
Friday, December 27 is the date. Mark it on your calendar.
Am I not making your work a lot easier for you? I love to have fun so why won’t I be of help to my ‘chillers’. LOL!
If you missed any of the previous Raves, please don’t miss this.
Imagine how awkward it’ll be staying home throughout the holidays only watching lively events from people’s snapchats?
Don’t be boring.
DLT @ Bloom
This is a blend of Accra and London nightlife.
Come experience this amazing night jam at Bloom bar in Accra on 30th and 31st December.
For those of you who will not want to be in church on 31st, let’s hangout on 3oth.
But hey, who said we can’t even do both? Haha!
When it comes to jamming during the Christmas festivities, every single person in Ghana, both the young and old will attest to the fact that Bloom Bar is the ish!
Don’t forget. It’s the 30th and 31st of December.
ABE (All Black Everything)
See, all jokes aside, this event is one I’m gladly waiting for.
This is going to be a blend of class, excellence and a bold celebration of life.
Let’s meet on December 29 at the Carbon Night Club for this big event.
But hey, remember. It’s an all-black affair. If you don’t have an all-black attire, there’s still enough time to buy one.
After all, you won’t need to rob a bank to buy black attire for this party.
I guess I’ve been quite useful today. At least, I helped you with some of the events happening in Accra this festive period.
So it’s time for you to be useful to the season by stepping out this YEAR OF RETURN to party.
See you around town!
Cheers, but hey, if you’ll drink, do that responsibly.
Also, don’t drink and drive. I don’t want to be back to my computer in 2020 counting you as part of the fatalities we recorded during the Christmas period.
