FDA detains 802 cartons of Lucozade, 2 arrested for changing expiry dates
The Food and Drugs Authority has announced that it has detained some 802 cartons of canned Lucozade over attempts by the importer to change the label of expiry dates from September 2019 to September 2020.
A statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Food and Drugs Authority, Delese Mimi A. A. Darko indicates that the items belong to Andiana Royal ventures.
“The items were seized at Hong Kong near Lapaze in Accra and two people have also been arrested in connection with the case,” extracts of the statement available to The Ghana Report reads.
