FC Samartex report bus incident at Obuasi Stadium to GFA

The management of FC Samartex 1996 has lodged an official complaint with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following an incident at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium after their matchday 7 league game against Asante Kotoko.

The Timber Giants’ team bus was reportedly stoned by a group of supporters as it left the stadium, carrying players and officials, after their narrow 1-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors.

FC Samartex management has expressed concern over the incident, reassuring fans that they are following proper channels to address the matter.

In response, the GFA has acknowledged receipt of the complaint and pledged to take appropriate action, pending the conclusion of an investigation by the association’s Prosecutor.
