Family threatens legal action against Ashaiman Trinity Mortuary over missing corpse

The family of the alleged missing corpse at the Ashaiman Trinity Mortuary is threatening legal action as a continuous search for their beloved at the mortuary has proven futile.

A delegation led by Pastor Ebenezer Nartey over the weekend visited the Ashaiman Trinity Mortuary for their late daughter, Mary Opari Animley.

Unfortunately, the body of the deceased could not be found, leaving the family disquieted and startled.

The family in an interview revealed that the body of their daughter was deposited at the mortuary three months ago pending the necessary arrangements for burial on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

The family was compelled to call off the funeral over the weekend since the body could not be found.

The Principal Elder of the deceased family, Matthew Kwame Animle in an interview threatened legal action against the Trinity Community Hospital if the body of their relative is not found.

“Yesterday, we reported the incident to the Police because the tempers here were very high.

“When the Police arrived, they informed them that they should try and call those who have come for the dead bodies and see if they have exchanged ours. So if we were unable to get ours the only option is, we will sue the hospital that’s all,” he noted in an interview on GHOne TV.

Meanwhile, the family says all required documentation and financial obligations have been fulfilled.
