Thunderstorms and moderate rain are expected to hit parts of the country tonight, the Ghana Meteorological Agency has warned.
The agency, in an update this morning, March 14, 2025, said early morning mist and fog patches were observed over the forest and mountainous areas.
However, as the day progresses, sunny conditions will dominate most parts of the country.
The update added that later in the evening, thunderstorms, with or without rain, are expected in several areas, particularly in the northern sector.
Some of the locations likely to experience these thunderstorms include Ho, Obuasi, Sefwi Bekwai, Kete Krachi, Kintampo, Goaso, Sunyani, Techiman, Yendi, Tamale, Bole, Damongo, Bolgatanga, Nalerigu, and Wa.
Meanwhile, the southwestern regions will witness light rains, causing cloudy conditions across much of southern Ghana.
Areas along the southern belt, including Aflao, Accra, Kasoa, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Axim, and Koforidua, can expect partial cloud cover without any significant rainfall.
The agency has also urged those potentially affected by the thunderstorms to take the necessary precautions to ensure safety.
