Ex-Real Madrid player discovers he’s not biological father after tattoo tribute
Former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias recently got a tattoo of his baby’s name, only to discover he is not the biological father.
The Shakhtar Donetsk right-back and his ex-wife, Ingrid Lima, celebrated the birth of their daughter, Maite, earlier this month. In response, Tobias tattooed the words “Maite, I love you” on his arm.
However, Lima has now revealed that a DNA test confirmed the 20-year-old footballer is not Maite’s biological father.
She explained that after splitting from Tobias some time ago, she entered a relationship with someone else.
She said, via The Daily Mail: “I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out on publicly to give you an explanation.
“Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone and so was he. We both moved on with our lives. ‘In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.”
Tobias, who played briefly for Real Madrid during a loan spell last season, has not commented on the situation. The identity of the biological father remains unknown.
