Ghanaian music producer Joseph Kwame Addison, popularly known as Killbeatz, has been recognised by The Recording Academy for his contribution to Divide by Ed Sheeran.

A certificate issued by the Academy honours Killbeatz for his role as a producer on the globally acclaimed project, which won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.

The recognition places the Ghanaian beatmaker among an elite group of creatives whose work contributed to one of the most successful albums of its time. Divide dominated global charts and cemented Ed Sheeran’s status as a worldwide pop star.

Killbeatz, known for his signature Afrobeats-infused sound, has long been a key figure in Ghana’s music industry, working with top local and international acts. His involvement in the Grammy-winning album highlights the growing global influence of Ghanaian producers.
