Emmanuel Boateng scores maiden goal in Saudi Arabia as Al Orobah draw with Al Kholood

Ghana forward Emmanuel Boateng netted his maiden goal in the Saudi Pro League to inspire Al Orobah to an away draw against Al Kholood in a six-goal thriller.

The striker moved to Saudi Arabia in the summer transfer window after his contract with Portuguese outfit Rio Ave expired, signing a one-year deal with the club.

Having starred in two matches already, Boateng finally opened his goal scoring account with a powerful header in the 3-3 draw on the road. He was also named Man of the Match after the game at Al Hazem Club Stadium.

Meanwhile, in a highly entertaining game, Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng opened the scoring for the host but 2023 AFCON winner with Ivory Coast, Jean Michel Seri levelled before half time.

After the break, Jóhann Gudmundsson gave Al Orobah the lead before Alex Collado responded for the home team.

Boateng shot the visitors in front with 13 minutes remaining but a late penalty from Myziane Maolida earned a point for Al Kholood.
