Eight Regional FAs receive pickup trucks from GFA

Eight Regional Football Associations (RFAs) have received brand new Nissan Navara pickup trucks from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) under the FIFA Forward program. The initiative is part of efforts to strengthen grassroots football development across the country.

The regions benefiting from this phase are Brong Ahafo, Upper West, Central, Western, Eastern, Upper East, Volta, and Ashanti. Each region received a double-cabin pickup to support administrative and operational activities.

GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, who led the presentation, said the move reflects the association’s broader vision of decentralising football development and ensuring regional bodies are well equipped to function effectively.

The Greater Accra and Northern Regional FAs are expected to receive theirs in a subsequent rollout of the program.

The presentation ceremony was attended by members of the GFA Executive Council and the Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority, Mr. Abraham Amaliba.

This initiative forms part of the GFA’s ongoing efforts to make strategic use of international partnerships to support football development at all levels.
