Efya breaks silence on her long absence in the music industry

Award-winning lovebird singer Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor known in showbiz as Efya says her absence from the music industry is a result of a broken heart.

The ‘Best in Me’ hitmaker aside from the heartbreak said she needed to have some rest from her 15 years of activeness in the music industry.

Efya who loves to be called ‘Baby Girl’ in an interview disclosed that the broken heart experience required her to stay out of music for some time to work on herself.

“I was heartbroken that I didn’t want to sing. You know I’m a baby girl so the way I feel matters to me a lot and it wasn’t something I wanted to deal with at that time,” she revealed on 3FM.

Moreover, Efya praised herself for playing a key role in the music industry as within 15 years she was able to bring out solos, collaborate with other artists, and do stage performances at events where she felt she needs a break.

Meanwhile, Efya has assured the public and fans of her readiness to perform at any event when she is called upon.

Efya is known for songs like ‘One of Your Own’, ‘Mamee’, ‘Until The Dawn’, ‘This Is Love’, ‘Little Things’, ‘Best in Me’, ‘Until The Dawn’, ‘Jorley’ and ‘Ankwadobi’.
