Ebony Reigns: Two years after her demise

Today, February 8, 2020, marks exactly two years when Ghanaians woke up to the shocking news that dancehall songstress Ebony Reigns had died.

The sensational singer, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, died in a fatal road accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road.

The 20-year-old was returning to Accra after visiting her mother at Sunyani in the Bono Region.

The sensational vocalist died on the spot, with her friend Frankie and a military officer, identified as Francis Atsu Vondee, when the Jeep they were travelling on had a head-on collision with a VIP bus travelling to Sunyani.

Ebony Reigns could be remembered by her popular songs like “Kupe”, Poison, Sponsor, and Maame Hwe.

The dancehall artist was named Artist of the Year at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Fans of the songstress have taken to social media with messages to honour the death of their late queen.
