Ebo Noah, the man accused of causing public fear with a doomsday prophecy predicting a global flood, has been remanded into custody by the Adenta District Court and directed to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
The order was made during his first court appearance after his arrest on charges of false communication and causing fear and panic.
The suspect, whose real name is Evans Eshun and is 28 years old, was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team.
His arrest followed widespread public concern over claims he made about an imminent world-ending flood.
Ebo Noah had publicly stated that God had revealed to him that a global flood would occur on December 25, 2025.
He also claimed to have built an “ark” at his premises, which he said would protect people from the disaster.
After the predicted flood did not occur, he reportedly changed his message, explaining that his prayers had delayed the destruction of the world.
